Approach
I modeled the outfit from scratch in Blender and rendered the scene with cycles. To give the piece a more official look, I designed a magazine cover and the first two pages, using Illustrator for the graphic design and Photoshop to place the designs into a mockup.
I modeled the outfit from scratch in Blender and rendered the scene with cycles. To give the piece a more official look, I designed a magazine cover and the first two pages, using Illustrator for the graphic design and Photoshop to place the designs into a mockup.
This Fashion Concept was part of a RenderHub challenge to create a completely original outfit "worthy of a runway stage". I created “Ondine" which gets its name from a nymph of European folklore, and it's inspired by the sea and its creatures. It features a long, fitted dress that flows into a shell-like shape at the bottom. The large, curved headpiece partially covers the face, mimicking the top of a jellyfish. The pearls around the waist and the sleeves add some details, while the long hair with pearls gives an underwater feel.
My goal with this piece was to create something both delicate and mysterious. That’s why I chose darker ambient lighting with hints of pink, purple, and blue.
